Epidermis - The meaning associated with the nude body has always fascinated me along with the increasing conservatism around the body in contemporary American society. This is our most basic state of being yet through religion and politics it has been put to shame. Through this series of photographs I look at the different setting in which we are in the nude and the impact that has on our freedom to express and explore the possibilities of ourselves in our most basic attire.

Art In Israel - Having received a grant from the Tisch College of Citizenship and Public Service, I decided to use art as a way to reconcile communities. The Bedouin community in Israel with which I was living, were part of many villages not recognized by the state of Israel thus not receiving funding, and suffering from a high rate of unemployment and poor living situations. Through photography I got to know part of the Israeli-Muslim culture that exists within the predominantly Jewish population, and give them a voice.

La vie de tous les jours - Documenting friendships and family, I try to understand the relationship between the subjects and myself while being behind the camera and documenting them, yet also being part of their lives. Through mundane moments I like to find small truths that reveal a deeper meaning of ourselves in the society in which we find ourselves.
